Coleman back's Lastuvka!

Fulham manager Chris Coleman is sure that keeper Jan Lastuvka will be able to cope with the demands of the Premiership.

The 24-year-old looks set for an extended run in the team after number one Antti Niemi was sent for an operation on his knee.

Lastuvka underwent a baptism of fire on his Premiership bow as his debut came in the 2-0 defeat at Blackburn, but Coleman is convinced he has the tools to flourish in England.

'Jan is a capable goalkeeper - he has experience of playing in the Champions League,' said Coleman.

'He will be okay and we cannot be too harsh on him after his first game.

'It has been difficult for him. His family are still not here and he has been going backwards and forwards.

'Overall I was pleased with his performance against Blackburn.'

I wish that I could share Colemans confidence.

He has Champions League experience. The game against Blackburn was a bad game for all of the team (Mostly the defenders), it was those f*c*i*g long balls that ruined us in that game.
