Magath on Victory at Brentford

Did I detect the feint sign of a smile on the face of Felix Magath last night?

After Fulham had beaten Brentford, in the Capital One Cup, their first win of the season, you sensed the pressure on Felix Magath had lifted slightly.

However, we all know and accept that a run in the Capital One Cup is a bonus as our priority has to be, however strange it may seem considering our league position, a return to the Premier League.

But what did Felix make of the 1-0 win over at Griffin Park?

Well this is what the German had to say about the goal-scorer and the much needed win,

"I know Ross is a very good striker. He has lost weight because in July he was too heavy."

"It is important for any striker to score goals, whatever the transfer fee. It is important for their confidence but I thought he was dangerous throughout."

"We played very well and our first victory of the season was very important for us, I think we`ll play with more confidence now."

Let`s hope so, we desperately need three Championship points this weekend.
