Magath - We Can Still Do It!

Magath - We Can Still Do It!

It was a game that we had to win, but we didn`t.

Leading 2-0 against Hull, everything looked hunky-dory but it all went pear-shaped when we conceded two goals in the last fifteen minutes.

The point gained from this game means we still, quite probably, need two wins from our last two fixtures, but Felix Magath, despite the setback, remains confident we can still steer clear of relegation with the boss remarking during his post-match press interview,

'It's not the result we wanted so we are disappointed. We were leading 2-0 so it seems we would get the three points but unfortunately we scored what was almost an own goal.

'After getting a goal they had some pressure and we took only one point. Besides the two goals we scored, we had two or three great chances to score again but we didn't manage it.

'We have lost two points we so have to win the next two games. We can do it.'

Can we?

I have my doubts!

I think the 2 half time subs were wise selections offensively, but got to question why he subbed out Holtby. Yout Sidwell with a banged up knee and Diara who looked miserable his last time out. Why not put. Holby in the middle and sub one of them out. I know "hind sight", but this was my immediate thought when I saw the subs. Got to question why he leaves Diara in for the whole game? The guy isn't fit for a full 90. If he starts, one of the subs has got to be used specifically for him during the second half. We lost control of the center of the field when when Sidwell went out and we didn't have a sub for Diara. The guys played a great game. Unfortunately I think we lost the 2 points due to untimely coaching strategy. Depending upon How Cardiff and Sunderland fair in their remaining games, we could escape with only 2 more points. Can't give up hope yet. We did get one point and that's 100% better than no points.

I think the time has come to be realistic and say it was nice while it lasted but it will be Championship football for us next year, maybe if we can keep our youngsters we might stand a chance of coming straight back up but I suspect that a series of knee jerk reactions by our owner will put pay to that :(

Been a Fulham 'man' for over 40 years - let's stick it to Stoke on Saturday - 90 minutes boys 90 minutes - and we can beat CP in the last game - all adrenalin
