'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Onwards and Upwards!

When Kieran Richardson gave us the lead at Villa Park yesterday with a sensational goal, it put us on the road to three much needed points.

Okay there were a few dodgy moments, like when Aston Villa equalized and then almost edged ahead but the delight that greeted the winner from Hugo Rodallega gave the club a much needed lift.

Following the late winner, we now believe we can produce something akin to the 'Great Escape 2` and save our Premier League status.

Rodallega, a somewhat unlikely hero, gave an insight into the mood in the camp when he remarked to the media afterwards,

'Everybody is happy in the dressing room because this is a very important win for us. We are working hard for ourselves, the manager and the club.'

We`re glad to hear it, onwards and upwards Fulham.

Was a great performance from the boys yesterday, if we stay up and it’s still a very big if we should do everything in our power to get Holtby on a permanent deal I thought that him and Dejagah were outstanding

Solid team effort in Saturday. Hopefully this serves as a confidence builder, but not one that goes to the head too quickly. Easy to feel top of the world when you've had such a bad season. We get Norwich next in what I think is the most important of our remaining games. They're the only team we've had our way with this season. Can't go in over confident that a win and survival are in the bag. Blood is in the water. We are now the masters of our own destination. We can go into the game with confidence that a win can be expected, but that has to be meet with an equal mind that it will take the safe all out full 90+ minute effort. Norwich has us by five points. I don't see them getting anymore with their remaining schedule. If we can close the gap to just 2 points next week...Survival is ours for the taking. After Norwich, I see 3-4 more points being very realistic. Making another great escape would be awesome, but it can't be expected. It still has to be earned.
