Stockdale Resides over Clean Sheet!

It was interesting on Saturday, against Newcastle United, Felix Magath opted to recall David Stockdale and drop Maarten Stekelenburg to the bench.

The fact that Fulham kept their first clean sheet since December 8th, may have justified that decision.

After the 1-0 win over Newcastle, Stockdale gave an insight into the motivational tactics Magath had used, remarking

"The manager didn`t need to say too much to us before the game - we had pictures of fans on the dressing room walls, and other bits and pieces, to remind us what we`re fighting for."

"I took a good look around because it was a reminder of the good times we`ve had in the six years I`ve been here and a few of us have been at the club a while - Brede Hangeland, me."

Has the penny finally dropped that it really is do-or-die as we head towards the last knockings of the season.

He did well on Saturday, let's hope the win is something we can build on and not just another false dawn
