Duo to Exit the Cottage

The inference doing the media rounds is that two of the old guard will not be forming part of Felix Magath`s newly shaped managerial team.

Whilst Alan Curbishley looks to have secured a stay of execution working alongside the German, it is widely anticipated that Ray Wilkins will be leaving and that Rene Meulensteen will also be heading for the exit.

Whilst the club would like Meulensteen to stay it`s feared that being asked to step back from the role he was doing to assume the role he was doing previously might be asking too much.

We`ll report further when we know more.

I'd like to see Rene stay but I doubt he will, it's shame it looked like he was turning things around and we were starting to play with some passion, let's hope the new guy can keep the momentum going and we don't have to start all over again as we really don’t have many games left to get the points we need

I just don't think an unhappy coach will be of any use. After what Rene have said to the media, I doubt he will get on well with the board or with his successor.
