Meulensteen - Bold But Brave

Meulensteen - Bold But Brave

Before the game kicked off this afternoon, many Fulham supporters question the starting eleven selected by Rene Meulensteen.

Many thought we were on a hiding to nothing but, as it turned out, perhaps Rene got his reward for such a bold selection policy.

If, indeed, Rene has two games to save his job then a 2-2 draw up at Old Trafford can only have done his prospects good.

Talking to the media, after the game, Rene had this to say,

'We set out as everyone can see, we made it very difficult for them. They have some problems of their own in that respect. They kept creating chances and crosses but we defended fantastically well. You think at the end all the hard work will slip away. But at the end, for Darren Bent to score that equaliser it felt like a winner."

'The most important thing is we got a point. A lot of people were classifying us as dead and buried. We have far too much quality and team spirit to be down there where we are.'

Perhaps we have but the table, as they say, doesn`t lie!
