Meulensteen - Positive Vibes

Our first away win, since Rene Meulensteen took over from Martin Jol, certainly brought the Fulham supporters some Christmas cheer.

Unfortunately, the three points still left us marooned in the bottom three, courtesy of Crystal Palace and Sunderland also winning away from home.

However, after the game, Rene was full of positive vibes remarking to the media,

'We have worked so hard in all the previous games but this was a game we were looking to get points on the board."

'I cannot fault the players for their resilience and character. We need to start getting clean sheets, which we didn't get, but I asked for one in the second half."

'People keep reminding us about our position, we don't want to be there. If we keep these performances going, we will climb up steadily.'

In Rene I have faith, how about you?

I know Rene wants a zero on the score sheet. Even though they got one they didn't earn it. We earned both our goals. In my opinion the game was as good as a clean sheet in view of where we're coming from. One step at a time, we keep improving and we're starting to win the games we should and are keeping the games we shouldn't win close. In Fulham I believe....Stand up if you still believe!!! COYW!!!
Well, they've failed to punish us for two HUGE mistakes in the first half, so a clean sheet is what we can only dream of defending like this. We're much better in attack, but Berbs' absence makes it harder for us, I think. Dunno why Taarabt starts over Ruiz in CF position, perhaps Ruiz slows down the tempo is how Rene sees it. Anyways, sloppy but an entertaining game! Glad we got 3 points, let's build on that! COYW!
