Fulham v Chelsea Injury updates

Fulhams injury woes show no sign of easing as Carlos Bocanegra joins the list of doubtful for the Chelsea game this afternoon.

Carlos limped off with a groin injury during our embarrassing midweek Carling cup 2-1 loss to Wycombe Wanderers, and is now only rated at 50-50 to play.

Papa Boupa Diop and McBride are a doubt and Boa Morte, Jimmy Bullard, Elrich, Elliot, Pembridge and Christanval are all ruled all out for Fulham.

Chelsea have Michael Ballack starting a 3 match suspension after his straight red at Liverpool so will miss the clash at Craven cottage.

Robben returns from injury and should make his first start after impressing coming on as a second half substitute during last Sundays 1-0 win against Liverpool, having not played since his injury on the opening game of the season against Man City.

Colman commented....

'We've had this many injuries before but never to key players like this, even Chelsea with their squad would suffer'

e added,

'If they lost players of the calibre of John Terry or Frank Lampard it would effect them.'

'Bocanegra has had a scan on his groin injury and at the moment is rated at 50-50 to start, he said he is ok but we will not know for sure until we get the test results back'

'Against Wycombe I rested alot of first team players but there are still places up for grabs,It was a poor performance in the first half'

'At Least the second 45 was different, at least we showed some courage and there was an appetite for it'

A win would do the squad the world of good psychologically, but with these injuries to key members of the team we really do not stand a chance....I hope that I am wrong. [Edited by El Berro] [Edited by El Berro]

I agree it is going to be a difficult game and I really cannot see us getting anything from it.
