The great unanswered question!
It seems; if the red-tops are right, an offer has been on the table for our Norwegian centre back to sign, since November, but without Brede putting pen-to-paper.
Martin Jol, having seen Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey depart in the summer, is understandably reluctant to lose his giant centre half and has, ahead of the game with Wigan, spoken about hanging on to Brede, commenting to the media,
"We will try to do everything we are capable of to keep him. There is a contract and the only thing for him to do is sign it."
With players like Brede, if they have a decent history and are playing well for their clubs, there will always be an interest from other clubs. I thought he was quite happy to stay here. Of course, he wanted to know the mission of the club - who is coming in because there were quite a lot going out."
"The Berbatov, Petric and Rodallega came in and he was happy, but now it is three month son."
"There is still five months left and hopefully he will put the money where his mouth is, show everyone he is happy again and sign."
Our main fear though is the fact that foreign clubs can now talk t Brede, will his head be turned by a move to Europe?
