Unexpected Fireworks!
It seems that there were some unusual preparations ahead of the win, at West Bromwich Albion, on New Year`s Day!
Perfectly aware that New Year`s Eve can be a little boisterous, Martin Jol had specifically asked for his squad to be put up in a quiet hotel the night before the game.
Unfortunately, that didn`t happen or as Martin puts it in his post-match interview,
"We played well today but probably the best fireworks took place at 12 o`clock right in front of our hotel."
"I asked for a quiet hotel but it was unbelievable - at midnight I looked out and there were 2,000 people in front of my big window."
Perhaps it is something we should consider before each away game if it produces the same result!
