'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clueless?

Didn`t you just know that was going to happen!

Didn`t you just know that it would be us against whom Queens Park Rangers would get their first Premier League win of the season!

And didn`t you just know that the performance we`d drag out of the bag would be absolute pants compared to what we know we can produce!

In fact, it`s fair to say that having seen the departure of so many of our stars, I`d say we`re becoming too reliant on Dimitar Berbatov.

Saturday prove done thing, if you starve Dimitar of the ball, like QPR did, then we become less effective.

After the game, Martin Jol lamented the fact that he could do with some new players, a possible hint of some January transfer window activity, remarking,

"We`ve got the players who can make the difference - but I would like to have more players who can do something."

"Our players are good enough but someone like Dembele could do something in midfield like Taarabt and that is what we lacked. We looked rigid."

We did, we looked rigid, we looked stale and we looked, I`m afraid to say - clueless!

I was so sure it would happen that for the first time in my life I opened an online betting account and backed QPR to win. I am now 59 richer but would have preferred the 3 points.
