'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hail Berbatov

He may have missed a couple of chances last night but the display given by Dimitar Berbatov was simply first class.

The Bulgarian was the best player on the pitch by far and drew the following compliments from Martin Jol, with the Dutchman remarking,

"Dimitar was outstanding in his general play, and probably covered more ground than ever before."

"But we had three or four chances to finish Newcastle when we were 1-0 up, and Berbatov had three of them."

"When Newcastle equalized, I was concerned it was going to be one of those nights."

"Berbatov worked ever so hard all over the pitch and he is so gifted the only thing I haven`t seen him do is score with an overhead kick."

With the Newcastle boss, Alan Pardew adding,

"Berbatov was special tonight, he was a real problem for us."

And long may it continue!

Best striker we have ever had. In my opinion, he is in Fulham's best ever starting 11.
