In For Bent?

Speculation continues to mount over the future of the Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.

Despite being fit, Bent is unable to make the starting eleven, under Paul Lambert, at Villa Park and is rumoured to be available in the January transfer market.

Several possible suitors are mentioned but the interesting proposition for us is that one red-top tabloid is offering the suggestion that Martin Jol may be tempted to bid for a player he signed, for £16.5 million, during his tenure in the managerial chair at White Hart Lane.

At 28 years of age, you`d imagine that Bent still has a lot to offer the right club, but could that club be us?

Please take him ..... we have enough penalty takers.
astonmilan
You're welcome to him. As Milan says, useless beyond the penalty spot, absolutely useless.
Villan444
Natural goalscorer, give him the ball in the box and the majority of the time he will score. Far from useless
antvillan
Why are you villa fans so sceptical? He's been our best goalscorer minutes on the pitch in years. He's not a team player, but he's a goal scorer...... cant have everything and at the moment we needed goals. We would have beaten Arsenal with Bent on the pitch.

!!!!!!!!! Seriously leelindsay??????? You don't score goals just by sticking someone on the pitch and crossing your fingers. If Bent had played then we wouldn't have the attacking threat from outside the box which the others provided. It would have been 10 vs 11. I wish that things were as simple as you suggest and Eck thought!!!! HE IS A POACHER nothing more. NOT a goalscorer, he never ever scores form outside the box or by beating a player or keeer!!!
