Earlier this week, before a stomach bug laid me low, I reported on how Blackburn Rovers were interested in taking Billy McKinlay as their next manager.
McKinlay, as you are currently aware, is one of Martin Jol`s coaching team and is a much valued member of that team.
But the inference was that Rovers believed their ex-player could be tempted to Ewood Park if the deal was right.
Since then, matters have moved on somewhat with Fulham having rejected Blackburn`s request to talk to McKinlay and Blackburn now admitting they are no longer interested in taking McKinlay to Ewood Park.
The outcome suits me fine is all I will say!
