Berbatov Out!
It`s not news that we were anticipating, news that Dimitar Berbatov is out of the clash with Manchester City this afternoon.
But that is the case with the Bulgarian pulling up in the last seconds of a training session complaining of a thigh problem, prompting the boss, Martin Jol, to comment,
"We`d like to play our strongest team against City but we`ve done better than expected and we will find out what the loss of Berbatov means."
"During training he looked good as usual and then at the end of the session, with the final shot, he felt something."
"Now it appears he had a problem with his hip so we could not take the risk."
"He has come in and played two positions - he was a #9 but he played in a #10 role, so it was good for us he was there but he is injured now."
Time to show we`re not a one-man team then!
