New Heroes for a New Era?

Being one of the less fashionable clubs, but grateful for our place in the grand order of things, losing our star players to the bigger teams is something we have to live with.

But, there`s no denying that the last few days of the transfer window were very cruel to us with both Dembele and Dempsey going to Spurs.

Speaking ahead of the clash with Wigan this afternoon, Martin Jol has spoken about what life in the Fulham hot-seat can be like, remarking,

"We have to build again and take two steps back to go forward again. Hopefully we can do that because of the likes of Petric and Berbatov - but we also need players in midfield to contribute goals. You have to score at least 50 goals to do well in this league."

"Dembele was my best player and Dempsey was my top scorer. We had to come up with something and we did against West Brom thanks to Berbatov and with Mladen against Norwich in our first game."

"I am very happy that we have that sort of quality up front."

A couple of new heroes for a new era!
