Dempsey Shocks Everyone
With Liverpool clearing the decks to ensure they could support a bid for Clint Dempsey, it all went a little astray for the Merseyside club.
Earlier in the day Dempsey had rejected a move to Aston Villa, seemingly because the clubs current situation didn`t match his ambitions
However, it seems a move to White Hart Lane, more than appealed to Clint who signed on the dotted line very late on in the evening.
As for the price, Spurs paid a reputed £6 million, we were robbed!

I’m glad he didn’t go to Liverpool, I’m pretty sure they convinced him to go on strike to drive his price down so they could get him on the cheap, the £6M we got from spuds is still pretty low but better than the reported £3 or £4M pool we’re trying to get him for.
