Don`t Bad-Mouth Clint!

The mutterings of discontent were evident yesterday.

Clint Dempsey`s refusal to turn out for Fulham, as he pushes for a transfer, has irked with some.

However, Martin Jol wants none of it remarking afterwards,

"I don`t want to hear the fans were chanting against Clint because he was a terrific player for us. He was the most productive player in the whole league."

I guess the key word in that comment remains was!

Yes and he also said we should show Dempsey more respect, well Mr Jol respect is a two way street and Dempsey has shown Fulham Football Club and it's fans none so why should we show him any, I hope he does end up at Liverpool because that will guarantee that he will never play Champions League football

Since I am from the US, I have always liked Clint but now with the stuff that he has pulled I want him to leave and go to Liverpool and play for the team that finished one spot above us last year and lost 3-0 in their opening game, so leave Clint and never play in the champions league

i can understand dempsey's position... he's progressed as much as he can at fulham, and wants to challenge himself with champs league... if he goes to liverpool it will be an odd one, considering how they performed last season and how long it's been since they were in the champs league... but if he has no intention of staying at fulham, it is better for the club to sell him and reap something than let him leave on a free... dempsey's getting the bobby zamora treatment from jol as far as i'm concerned... i know we all know dempsey wants to go, but jol's keeping him out because his mind's not into it...

Fulham is the perfect spot for Dempsey. If he goes to a big club he's going to get lost in the large number of players they have available and eventually just drift out of the picture. Based on his actions over the last month, I think we have unfortunately seen Clint's best year ever now behind him. I'm very disappointed.

Agreed, he could potentially join the list of players who were dynamite for Fulham and then fell apart when they went on to so called better things.. Jimmy Bullard anyone? What about Luis Boa Morte? Even Steed Malbranque Of course I could be proved wrong and he could do a Louis Saha who did all right for himself!
