No Way Back?

It appears there is no way back for Clint Dempsey now!

All summer we have been prepared for the departure of Clint Dempsey and now it looks very much as if Clint is, if our information is correct, trying to force the issue.

The latest reports infer that Jol is now preparing to leave Dempsey out of our season opener against Norwich City with the 29 year-old striker-come-midfielder looking to push through a move to either of the trio of clubs that are reported to be interested in him - Liverpool, AS Roma and Tottenham.

The only problem, it appears, is that neither of the trio are prepared to pay the asking price of £9 million, although we suspect that this could come down if a deal is not struck by the time the transfer window starts to swing shut.

Stay tuned is all we`ll say!
