Congratulations Carlos
He may not have had the most fruitful of Craven Cottage careers, but it still gave me a sense of pride to see our former Mexican defender, Carlos Salcido, go for gold.
In a thrilling Olympic Football tournament finale, Carlos was part of the Mexico side that pulled off something of a shock in beating Brazil 2-1 yesterday.
Deployed as a midfield enforcer, Salcido`s tough tackling blunted Brazil`s cutting edge and I`m sure, at the final whistle, I spotted a smile on the craggy face of the Mexican.
Well done Carlos from all at Vital Fulham.
