Dempsey`s Fate?

Trust me to open my mouth!

At the weekend I mentioned that the furor surrounding the possible transfer of Clint Dempsey to Liverpool had receded.

Today I pick up the tabloid papers and find that Clint hasn`t travelled to Switzerland for our pre-season tour.

Now whilst Martin Jol may insinuate that Clint isn`t ready to play or that a possible allergy to cuckoo clocks might have kept him back home in London, I suspect it is a lot more ominous and that Clint may well have departed Craven Cottage come the start of the new season, or am I just draped in 'doom and gloom` today?

i think it's healthiest to accept that he's gone, and get something of a fee for our troubles... if he stays (which he won't), it would be a pleasant surprise...

I think he has refused to travel to force the issue of a transfer to Liverpool. With that sort of attitude he could soon go from Hero to Zero. If he is not prepared to honour his contract and we do not get the money we deserve, he should be made to play in the development team for the rest of the season.

It’s just about the money, if it was about CL football he wouldn't be going to liverpool unless he plans to play until he's 40, lol, to be honest I just want him gone with a decent fee now so we can move on, no one player is bigger than the club COYW!!!!!!!
Oldwolf
I'd check him and Petric striking pair in action. That would've been worldclass, i'm sure!
