Carroll Interest

Carroll Interest

Could it be a fair swap, of kinds?

The tabloid press have opted to spare a few column inches relating to the futures of our own Clint Dempsey and that of the Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.

Basically they`re suggesting that Fulham could use Liverpool`s interest in Dempsey to lure the out of favour Carroll to Craven Cottage.

Whilst accepting that there is a fair chance that Brendan Rodgers will get his way and lure Dempsey to Anfield, I have reservations about, and I don`t mean this in a disrespectful way, of Carroll coming to Craven Cottage especially with Inter Milan also showing an interest.

But, if the improbable were to happen would we classify it as a fair swap?

This seems a stretch. He's on £80K/week wages (as I understand it) and that hardly fits Fulham's wage structure. Also, you must tailor your style of play to suit his game; not the other way around. Jol seems pretty head-strong when it comes to his style of play. Again, seem a stretch.
