Jol nets German Defender

Fulham have announced that they have secured the services of Cologne`s international full-back, Sascha Riether.

Riether, twenty-nine years of age, has signed on for a season long loan deal after Cologne suffered relegation from the Bundesliga.

If the loan deal proves to be a success Fulham have an option to make the move permanent with the German international remarking,

'Fulham is a good club, a big club with a big tradition and for me it's great to be here."

'I feel very pleased to have signed. It feels like I've had a long break from football and for me this is a new experience in a new country.'

Welcome to Craven Cottage.
