One Year Deal!

Yesterday we intimated that Martin Jol was pursuing the Croatian striker, Mladen Petric.

Yesterday we admitted to not knowing much about the lad!

Today, gently reminded y the tabloid press, we know exactly who he is and for the life of me, I can`t work out why I never twigged yesterday.

You see Petric is the guy who scored against us in the 2010 Europa League semi-finals and he`s also the guy who scored the goal for Croatia that ended the England managerial reign of a certain Wally with the Brolly, Steve McClaren.

Also, it seems he`s put pen to paper on a one year deal and arrives with a record of having scored 38 goals in 98 games for Hamburg whilst notching 12goals in 44 appearances for Croatia.

He could be quite an acquisition don`t you think!

Hope we have an option to extend if he makes the grade.

Mladen Petric will have a huge impact. Just like Nikica Jelavic did in Everton. A great signing for Fulham!!!

I'm pleased with the signing and a one-year deal is prudent given his age and being untested in the Premier League.
