Farewell

Farewell

Any late hopes we had of Pavel Pogrebnyak showing a bit of loyalty to the Fulham cause look to have been dashed.

The Russian striker, who Fulham rescued from obscurity last season has agreed to sign on the dotted line for newly promoted Reading, having signed on a free transfer from Stuggart.

The deal will be for four years as long as a work permit can be secured, we`d like to wish him well but it sort of sticks in the throat!

I'm not that bothered. He did well enough for us, but I think his first three matches (5 goals) cause his stats to be a little misleading. Once teams were prepared for him, his productivity dropped noticeably. He was accurate though. You can't score if you don't put them on frame and he was good at that. Wish we could've kept him, but I think we'll be ok.
