'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ruddy Hell!

Disappointed or what!

For once in my life I thought that the naming of an England squad for a forthcoming major finals tournament and a squad to be named by a new manager might prove favourable for Fulham Football Club, but it wasn`t to be even when that new manager was our Gentleman Roy!

I kind of hoped that Roy would reflect on his time here and maybe give Danny Murphy one last hurrah, nut that proved to be misplaced.

But then I thought that young David Stockdale who had gate-crashed the England squad earlier this season but it wasn`t to be, perhaps his inactivity, in recent months, had something to do with that.

Perhaps an ex-favourite of ours, Bobby Zamora, might have gotten into Roy`s squad, but no, his startling lack of form and progress since moving to Queens Park Ranges appears to have cost him dearly on the international front.

But never mind, at least when it all goes pear-shaped, as it will, there`ll be no witch-hunt involving any of our lads!

the one thing that worries me about this is that Stockdale may decide he needs to move to be #1 somewhere and to be honest we all know he’s good enough, I think Schwarzer is superb but Stockdale is the future and I would hate to see him go

yeah... i see it the same way... very tough decisions to be made this offseason... loan him out and bring in a real backup, so we don't have to recall him in case of an injury...

when Schwarzer got injured earlier in the season, I thought that was the time when stockdale would take over long term. bit disrespect to Schwarzer, as he has been an excellent keeper for many years, but I was really hoping we would see a keeper that looks a decent prospect (even at his age) get a chance of regular football in the Prem
