Toffees Show Interest

Interest in Clint Dempsey is growing.

News that Clint has yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal has alerted several clubs to his apparent availability.

This morning, one of those interested clubs has put their head above the parapet and, according to press reports, declared an interest, with that club being Everton.

Could Clint leave us for Everton?

I`ll reserve judgement.

Cant see it happening. Hasn't he said he wants CL football? Anyway, questionable we could even afford him despite his contract situation. Although, I do know for a fact, Moyes absolutely loves Dempsey and has tried to sign him in the past (2 or 3 times in fact), and I would love to see him at Everton, link up with Howard and hopefully Donovan as well. But I can't see it happening.

I'm with Rob. Can't see it. Everton is a great club, but if CL is the aim, then it seems more likely to be one of the current top six sides. Can't see him at United, City or Arsenal. There's already a glut of midfielders at Spurs, my money is on Chelsea or Newcastle.

Everton are a good team, but if Dempsey moves it will be for Champs League. As much as I respect the Toffees, they just won't be able to offer what Dempsey wants. Chelsea? A bit of prejudice on Chelsea, but I don't know if he is a big enough name for them. They'll probably want to go for a player at the level of Sneijder.

he better not go to chelsea... that would be awful... i'm sure he and lando could get along at everton if they both went there, but i would think he'd want to but his own stamp on a club, from an american viewpoint, than join "lando's club"... that's just me...
