Calamitous Refereeing

Mr Al Fayed has been noticeably quiet of late!

But our owner has sprung into life on the back of some contentious refereeing decisions of late, including the non-penalty incident involving Danny Murphy up at Old Trafford not that long ago.

Mr Al Fayed has picked up on the fact that the 'bigger-teams` seem to benefit from dodgy decisions more than the 'littler-teams` and that anyone who has the temerity to complain gets dealt with heavy hands.

This is what our owner had to say on the subject, in the media,

"The losses we incur from such careless decisions have a huge impact and can have calamitous consequences."

"Referees are all too easily influenced by the more powerful clubs and individual owners and calls into question the integrity of both of them and the governing body they report to."

"Where else can decision-makers - the referees - escape all responsibility to admit blatant errors, while the football clubs who protest are fined on charges of misconduct."

"It is time for the Premier League to wake up. They have been in a coma for a long time. Lots of clubs are suffering from such stupid decisions."

"Advanced technology is available and it is evidently being used in other sports."

The last line being a point we`ve re-iterated numerous times already.

But has Mr Al Fayed hit the nail on the head?
