Jol`s Take on Clint Situation

With the focus being on whether Clint Dempsey will remain at Fulham after his contract expires this summer, Martin Jol has provided the media with a few words on the subject.

Talking to the media, Jol had this to say,

"Am I confident Clint will sign? I hope he will. If you come to our training lodge, the grass is very green and there are not many players who have left Fulham over the last few years and done well."

"Hopefully, I can convince Clint he should stay with us for another couple of years."

Jol does have a good point, leave Fulham and leave the limelight!

The fact that he will be a Bosman free, you assume that there will be a lot of interest, as having someone of his quality in your squad is a bit of a no brainer. Question that only he can answer is what would be his motivation with any move, money, silverware or to play as much football as he can
