Fulham got back to winning ways yesterday, ending a run of three defeats and a run of three games without scoring a goal.
However, it has to be said that the match could have gone either way, Fulham dominated the first half but Norwich had us on the back-foot in the second half.
This is what Martin Jol had to say about the performance,
"We were prepared and started off well but they changed their system and they do that all the time with a purpose."
"It was not easy to cope with, but we used the right tactics. We had played their reserves on Monday and won 5-1 by playing in a similar way."
"I was pleased in the end though we didn`t play our way in the second half. My defenders did very well."
Indeed they did but, once again, it was Clint Dempsey who helped Fulham on their way with yet another goal causing Jol to further add,
"Clint is very good at arriving in the box late and getting on the end of things. In the second half we had t use him in a different way but looking at my players he was the one who could do the job there after we had to take Pavel Pogrebnyak off with his injury."
Clint Demspey, my choice of Player of the Year; how about you?
