'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pogrebnyak Wants to Stay!

Earlier this week Martin Jol warned our Russian striker that he should be looking to thank those who had given him his breakthrough in English football.

Aware that several other clubs were now sniffing around a striker who scored five goals in his first three Premier League appearances, Jol almost pleaded with Pavel Pogrebnyak to sign a permanent deal at Craven Cottage once his loan spell ends in the summer.

It now transpires that might be exactly what 'The Pog` intends doing with Pavel being quoted in the English press as having remarked,

"That is very nice."

"I need a coach like Jol and would love to stay in England and continue to work with him,"

"A conversation with the club`s leadership will be held in the near future."

"The English game is faster than in Germany, and there are a lot of battles. But I think I`ve got used to it."

I`m hoping that all the parties concerned come to an amicable agreement, how about you?
