Putting on a Brave Face!

Following the brave, but unsuccessful, attempt to wrestle something out of the fixture at Old Trafford last night, Martin Jol put on a brave face in his post match interview.

The Dutchman, perfectly aware that we`d been cheated out of a stonewall penalty by a referee who, to be perfectly honest, didn`t have the bottle to give it, Jol had this to say,

"We expected a penalty to be given but it takes a very brave referee to give one against United at Old Trafford. This isn`t the first time, especially not for me."

"Everyone in the stadium expected a penalty and the referee would have had to send Carrick off." We shocked them, they looked very nervous."

The certainly did and they looked far from being worthy potential champions of the Premier League which makes me think the Premier League isn`t as strong as it once was, even more so when you see that a very average Chelsea side are our last representatives in Europe!

i'm not sure it was a stonewall penalty... he was looking for it a bit too much for me, but i would have loved for it to be given...
