Sowing the Seeds!

The rush of goals that came Pavel Pogrebnyak`s way have temporarily dried up.

But the splash he made scoring five in his first three Premier League games, alerted other clubs to his abilities.

With Pavel only being at Craven Cottage on loan, Martin Jol will have his work cut out to keep the Russian striker on our books for next season.

But Jol has already started sowing the seeds in Pavel`s mind with reasons enough to stay, with the Dutch boss remarking,

"It was a gamble for him and for us."

"They told me Russians haven`t got a good record in England. But I thought, 'You never know`. In Germany he was up against four players in his position."

"Here, I`ve got a number 9 and Orlando Sa, a back-up.

"For Pavel there is not this nervousness or insecurity and players gain from this. It`s about confidence."

Will he stay? I guess only time will tell!

Hope Pakhan will join us at the summer. It's really cool when your homie striker suddenly brings a succes to your favourite club! He'll score again, as soon as our attacking play will be sorted out, i'm sure.
