Pogrebnyak Praise

Pogrebnyak Praise

Instant heroes don`t often come along but with five goals in three games Pavel Pogrebnyak is well on the way to becoming just that.

With chants of:-

"Who needs Zamora when we`ve got the Pog?"

Ringing around Craven Cottage, on Sunday afternoon the Fulham faithful have a new hero.

Speaking about his Russian acquisition, after the game, Martin Jol had this to say about resurrecting the career of Pavel,

"He knows he`s got a chance with us."

"I went to watch him years ago when I was in Germany. You can`t say that he`s had the best of times."

"We`ve got a lot of strikers here and if they don`t score then they`re out of the team."

"We promised him that we`ll get him games."

"He`s a good lad. I`ve got a feeling he wants to be here, to prove a point. After five goals you have to say that he`s a pretty good signing."

I`ll second that, how about you?

He does seem to have hit the ground running and adjusted to the prem very quickly, let's just hope we can get him on a permanent deal, it would be gutting to see him keep up this form and then go to another team in the summer

Artilleria Pesada said he was going to be good, but FFS, who expected this! We haven't had someone who was trully lethal in front of goal since Saha. It's just three matches, so I don't want to get my hopes up, but man what a start!

great start, let's hope he keeps it up... seems to put himself into good positions, and seems to be lethal in front of the net...

This bloke looks deadly! The only worry is whether he will stay with us in the summer or move elsewhere
