Johnson Deal Moves Nearer
There was the hint of a suggestion in the air, last week, that Martin Jol was keen to keep Andrew Johnson on the books.
Our manager had inferred that AJ wasn`t sold in the transfer window as there wasn`t another player out there like him.
Now, in the press, Johnson has provided a quote that infers the on-going contract talks are progressing well with AJ remarking,
"There are on-going negotiations. Hopefully we will try and tie that up in the coming weeks. There is no reason for me to want to move."
Well that is nice to hear!
