Jol on Win at QPR

Jol on Win at QPR

Naturally, Martin Jol was a touch pleased at taking three points at Loftus Road.

Even more so when you recall just how poor our away record has been in the last eighteen to twenty-four months!

So what made the difference?

Was it a change in tactics and a certain Russian?

Read on,

"We changed our system today. Normally we play 4-3-3 but when we won 6-0 earlier this season Andy Johnson caused them problems, so we played 4-4-2."

"I thought Pavel played well but from the first day he came from Stuttgart he has wanted to work and he accepts information. He is different to Bobby Zamora. Bobby is a hold-up player but he wants to be in the box."

Adapting and changing the way we play seems to be a gradual process under Martin Jol but things are starting to auger well if you ask me.
