Jol on Victory Over Stoke

Jol on Victory Over Stoke

Before kick-off, in his pre-match press conference, Martin Jol had spoken about how important the next four fixtures were for Fulham Football Club.

Well that quartet of fixtures has commenced in the best possible way with a well deserved win over Stoke City.

Following the win, Jol had this to say to the press hounds,

"The first half we played in the style I would like us to and we scored two very good goals. In the second half they pressed us and we couldn`t play our football any more. Stoke is an unbelievable style to play against and we stood up to the challenge."

"We could have scored a third in the final minute so it is a big, big difference."

It`s our opinion that a third goal would have given the score line more respectability considering how much we dominated the match.
