Groundhog Day!

Groundhog Day!

Many Fulham supporters will argue that the early start, in June, courtesy of the Europa League qualification programme, has had an adverse effect ton our season.

Well it appears we could be on the way to a repeat scenario.

This season we qualified via the Fair Play League and it looks very much as if we`re heading for a similar scenario.

As it stands at the moment, excluding the teams who are looking as if they`ll qualify for the Champions League, it`ll be us or Swansea who get the nomination.

Discussing the situation, Martin Jol had this to say,

"We are second in the Fair Play League again - whether you like it or not!"

"There are three top teams but they will play in the Champions League."

"There is Swansea and us in contention up to now."

"So we might have another early start…whether I like it or not."

Can we not decline the invite?

i doubt it... it's a lot of football, but it would have been nice to make the knockout round... more roster rotation this time around?
