'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Briggs Goes All Posh!

I turn my back for a minute, courtesy of being laid low with a stomach bug, and find one of our youngsters has gone off on loan.

Matthew Briggs has gone all Posh on is and has signed, on loan, for Peterborough United.

Furthermore, it transpires that young Briggs wouldn`t be too upset if he could stay at London Road for the rest of the season with the youngster being attributed as having commented to the media,

'Depending on how it all goes, hopefully we can extend it until the end of the season.

'I hope to help them up the table and play every game so I can return to Fulham as a better player.'

"Football today is all about speed and power and I've got both so hopefully I'll go a long way"

'I want to play regular games.'

'It's good for experience and fitness."

'I have played in the Europa League but it's better to play in league games - you get more experience.'

Well we`ll second that, let`s hope he comes back a better player for the experience.

Have high hopes for this young man, it would be nice to see another lad come through the ranks and make the grade at this level, I think the last one was Sean Davis and he left back 2004, you couldn’t really call the academy prolific could you, lol

it seems that we've got a nice relationship with peterborough as they took stockdale also... let's hope they can make briggs a better player, and take over for riise once he's too old...
