Pavel Pogrebnyak Update!

Pavel Pogrebnyak Update!

They seek him here, they seek him there, that new Russian striker from the land of the bear!

Brought in to replace Bobby Zamora, could we possibly get a glimpse of Pavel Pogrebnyak soon?

Well perhaps not but it looks as if he could at lest be training with the squad come the back end of the week as Martin Jol has commented in the tabloid press,

"I hope we will see him in training at the end of the week - Thursday or Friday."

"He`s not had a great couple of years but if he had we wouldn`t have got him."

"You have to take them when they`re playing badly. Otherwise they are not on the market."

"I spoke to Guus Hiddink and Dick Advocaat about him, he`s got 45 caps and he`s had some great spells."

"It`s a good opportunity for him and us but he has to prove it now."

And now the muddy water has become clearer!

It looks like we`ve signed somebody that was good but hasn`t been good in recent times!

Great!

Oh good thats the way forward then isn't it, so he was ok in the Russian league, couldn't cut in the Bundesliga and of course that means he'll be great in the Prem just like all the other superstar russian players that have come to the Prem recently, I'm starting to think that Jol just got very very lucky at spurs

it's always encouraging to sell an inform england striker for an out of form russian striker... oh wait no, that makes no sense...
