Winger Interest

Winger Interest

Earlier this week I grumbled that the transfer window activity seems to be by-passing our club.

It appeared that we were, despite the insistence our squad was thin, going to be bypassed.

But, thankfully, there are now some rumours appearing.

One, covered by a tabloid today, has Martin Jol re-igniting his interest in a winger.

The winger in question being Nacer Chadli with Jol obviously recalling the players attributes from hi stime managing in Holland.

Chadli is twenty-two years of age and on the books of FC Twente and Fulham, according to the tabloid, sent spies to watch him in FC Twente`s recent demolition of RKC Waalwijk.

As for re-igniting his interest, it`s implied that Jol had bids of £4 million and £6 million rejected last summer but that an increased bid could do the trick this time around.

If Chadli is to turn up at Craven Cottage, let`s hope he hits the ground running a lot quicker than Bryan Ruiz, otherwise we`ll not see the befit until next season!

as long as we give him the time to bed in, i'm not too upset with bringing him in... we need return from investments...
