Dempsey`s Praise

Clint Dempsey is on a roll.

Hat-tricks against Charlton, and now Newcastle, have propelled the American back into the limelight with Clint now having 15 goals to his name already this season.

But after acknowledging his three recent strikes with the promise there`s more to come, Clint has been quick to praise his team-mates Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora, remarking about our offensive play,

"It`s a good balance. Bobby holds the ball up, AJ runs into the channels, then I`m able to come in the pockets and get on the ball."

"It confuses defenders as its three totally different types of players making movements off the ball. We have a lot of players that can make an impact and I thought AJ and Bobby played very well."

And adding about his rich scoring vein,

"I don`t know about making it look easy but goals seem to come in waves. I`m just trying to enjoy the moment while I can because, sooner or later, they dry up a little bit."

"But hopefully, I can continue with this form as long as I can."

I`ll second that!
