The One Sacred Competition!

The One Sacred Competition!

We`re in the hat for the fourth round draw this afternoon and I, for one, am hoping we get a relatively easy tie.

As I said in the match preview for the tie against Charlton, this is the one competition we stand a chance of winning, providing our luck and form holds out.

Therefore, it`s pleasing to have a boss that treats the FA Cup with the respect it deserves.

Following on from the 4-0 win over Charlton, by a very strong starting eleven, Martin Jol had this to say,

"I have not played in this competition for four or five years and it meant as much as it did then."

"I always thought it was the best competition in the world, especially for a club like Fulham."

"The FA Cup is almost sacred, it is one of the best competitions - when I was last here the games were always a sell-out. I hope the feeling and appreciation for the FA Cup will come back."

"In hindsight it is a very good result. We forgot to play in the first ten minutes then we realised we needed to get in their half, so it was a positive result."

It certainly was, now bring on round four!
