10m Bid

Having spent a small fortune on Bryan Ruiz, are Fulham set to spend another small fortune on another international star?

The grapevine has us linked with an Argentine striker - Maxi Lopez

The grapevine suggests that a bid of 10 million has been lodged for the striker with the Catania sporting director, Pietro Lo Monaco remarking,

"I can confirm the strong interest from England for Maxi Lopez, and indeed there is a Fulham offer."

"But we are still evaluating potential developments here in Italy."

Could this be one to keep an eye on as the month of January progresses?

I just don't see us spending another 10m on a striker, for that money I think we'd be better off letting AJ run down his contract if we're going to let him go for a couple of mil and look for a replacement in the summer

10m is an absurd fee for this lad. I wouldn't pay 2m for him. He had a great start to his career at Catania, but hasn't exactly been prolific since. Besides, he'll be 28 in April. I'd rather target someone younger. I seem to recall us being linked with him once before. Regardless, I hope this doesn't happen.
