'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More Mumbo Jumbo?

It was a familiar story on the road yesterday, another defeat.

The difference being though; is that if you harbour serious ambitions of finishing high up the table surely you should be looking to get a result on the grounds of those teams that only got promoted last year.

After the game Martin Jol spoke about events and the possibility of bring in some new faces in January, commenting,

"I would like to strengthen here in January but it is about finding the specific players."

"Even before Clint`s penalty I thought we had chances. But the penalty situation was an ideal situation - if we had scored."

"The second goal would not have happened because it was down to the way we reacted to a set-piece. We have a good squad here and I don`t think there will be too many moves in January. I`m not worried about Bobby because I still think he wants to play for the club."

I can`t say there`s anything in those words to impress me. Is anyone else starting to have doubts about Jol?

Things don't seem to be going well, but then with Mark Hughes last year by Xmas I was convinced we were looking at relegation! It is worrying that there are problems between Jol and the players though. Zamora and Jol have obviously fallen out earlier Kasami and Jol had an issue. Zamora has always been a****ly character though. I recall Hodgson making comments in the media about Zamora complaining at him so perhaps it's not just all Jol's fault?
