Europa League Hopes Hit
Having battled through so many Europa League games already this season, it`s a little bit galling to see all those Champions League failures dropping into our competition.
I`ve always said it is a mockery and the only reason why it is done is to protect the finances of those who can`t quite hack it in Europe`s top competition.
But, it`s even more galling this time around when you acknowledge that two of those that have toppled out of the Champions League and into the Europa League are the two very clubs that are dominating our Premier League - Manchester City and Manchester United.
Or as Martin Jol succinctly puts it,
"We`d be better off without the big teams going through."
Exactly, it makes you ponder why we bothered to slog our way around Eastern Europe back in June and July!

Unfair... sure, but it does make it more interesting. Hoping for a Fulham/Ajax knockout draw myself, assuming we take care of business with Odense, that is.
