'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spurs Youngster Linked!

Midfield is definitely an area whereby we could do with an injection of youth.

Whilst I`m reticent to criticize the excellent contributions of Danny Murphy, Steve Sidwell and Dickson Etuhu in the centre of the pitch, an injection of top quality youth could give us, on occasions, an extra spark.

Therefore, with the Daily Express inferring that we`re chasing a young Spurs midfielder, I have to ask whether Martin Jol is thinking along the same lines.

The player in question though is someone I have to admit knowing very little about.

His name is Tom Carroll and, apparently, Jol is looking to bring him to Craven Cottage, from White Hart Lane, in January.

He's quality - will be an England player in the future. If you can get him out of our hands for 6 months, your league position will improve!

Definitely a talent, has done well in Europa League games, however maybe a bit soon for a loan to a Premiership club. Might be better to do it the way we did with Kyle Walker, a loan to a strong Championship side first then a Premier League loan.

Tommy Carroll is a great young player & someone very similar to Modric. He's still very small, but his touch & skill are sublime. @ 19 he's a rough diamond & altho its great to watch him contributing for Spurs in the EL, it would be awesome for his career development to be playing from Jan in the EPL, especially under a classy Manger such as BMJ ! Not to mention alongside Murphy. Btw Im not alone in feeling bad @ how Murphy was treated whilst @ Spurs, he really should've been the 1st name in CM & not Davids...

1 other thing a note to BMJ, whilst you'll always be loved & a legend @ WHL, hands off any longterm ideas when it comes to Carroll. The lad has a cracking future ahead of him & its with us @ Spurs ! Lmao
