Stockdale Mystery!

I have to admit that I missed them but there have been rumours floating around about the possible future of our young goalkeeper, David Stockdale.

Now twenty-six years of age, these rumours (that I missed) inferred that Ipswich Town were interested in tasking the England fringe keeper on a permanent basis.

But, Martin Jol has moved quickly to deny these rumours responding,

"He`s part of our plans."

Nice to hear, especially as Mark Schwarzer isn`t getting any younger!

think this will be a case of fulham making him No1 or him leaving, perhaps as early as january of the right move came along. sadly for him I cant see too many Prem clubs seriously looking at a keeper, and that is where he probably needs to be playing if he wants to retain his england hopes.

He's already said he would only consider a permanent move if Ipswich got promoted and that doesn't look likely this season, but I would be upset if we let him go as I think he could gone on to be a great keeper

He is our natural No. 1 keeper. He knows, as do we all, that he is good enough to be a premiership keeper. You can understand his frustration though having players who are younger, albeit different positions, getting there turn. Just be patient, you could be our No. 1 for over 10 years.
