A Mellor Bid
After the £10 million signing of Bryan Ruiz, we now only seem to be linked with the procurement of young players.
The latest starlet we`ve been linked with, possibly because the coffers are not as full as they were prior to the Ruiz signing, an eighteen year old playing for Oldham Athletic.
David Mellor is his name and he`s a full back. Apparently we tried to tempt Oldham to part with the lad a month or so ago with a bid of £300,000 which the Latics turned down.
The rumour-mill infers that we`re set to return with a higher bid of £500,000 this January.
I wonder if that will suffice?
We`ll monitor the situation and let you know if anything develops.
